FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS MY SURFING SKILL LEVEL?
– Beginner: New to surfing, learning the basics of paddling, standing up, and riding small waves.
– Intermediate: Comfortable catching waves on their own, working on turns and maneuvers in medium-sized surf.
– Advanced: Experienced surfers comfortable in larger waves, working on advanced maneuvers and tricks.
CAN I BRING MY OWN SURFBOARD?
Sure, you can bring your own or borrow one from our quiver giving you the chance to try out different boards for different conditions.
HOW MANY INSTRUCTORS PER STUDENT?
The maximum ratio of instructors to students is 1:8 for adults and 1:4 for children. If you’re on a retreat the ratio can be lower.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS OR THE WAVES ARE TOO BIG/ SMALL?
t depends on how much it rains, usually if there’s a storm we don’t surf the next day because everything gets washed into the sea. A rainy day is fine. There are lots of different spots to choose from depending on the conditions, so only if the surf is too big in all the Taghazout surf spots we’ll do a day trip instead.
I’M NOT SURE IF I’M AN UPPER INTERMEDIATE OR ADVANCED SURFER?
To go on a surf guiding holiday you need to be an independent surfer. This means being confident in the lineup, catching your own waves, and surfing with a hardboard.
