Surf and Friends offer events around water sports, surfing, and renting out of watersports equipment as well as other types of sports equipment. We also rent out storage containers for surfing equipment.
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the services provided by “Surf and Friends”, a company based in France (“Company”). By using the services of the Company, the user (“User”) agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Terms and Conditions:
1. Bookings and Reservations
a. To secure a reservation, the guest must pay a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total price of the booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date.
b. Surf and Friends reserve the right to decline any reservation request or to cancel any confirmed reservation at its sole discretion.
c. The guest must provide accurate and complete information in their reservation request. Any misrepresentation or omission may result in the cancellation of the reservation without a refund.
d. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Surf and Friends.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
a. In the event of a cancellation by the guest, Surf and Friends will retain the non-refundable deposit paid at the time of the booking.
b. If the guest cancels more than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date, Surf and Friends will refund any additional payments made, less any bank charges or fees incurred by Surf and Friends.
c. If the guest cancels less than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date, Surf and Friends will retain the full amount paid for the booking.
d. No refunds will be given for early checkouts or no-shows.
3. Check-in and Check-out
a. Check-in is from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the scheduled arrival date. Guests who plan to arrive outside of these hours must inform Surf and Friends in advance.
b. Check-out is before 11:00 am on the scheduled departure date.
c. Late check-outs may be subject to an additional charge at Surf and Friends’ discretion.
4. Property Damage and Loss
a. The guest is responsible for any damage caused to Surf and Friends’ property or its contents during their stay. The guest must report any damage to Surf and Friends immediately.
b. Surf and Friends reserve the right to charge the guest for any damage caused to its property or its contents.
c. Surf and Friends are not responsible for any loss or damage to guests’ personal belongings during their stay.
5. Behavior and Conduct
a. The guest is expected to behave respectfully and responsibly during their stay.
b. Surf and Friends reserve the right to terminate the stay of any guest who violates these terms and conditions or engages in inappropriate behavior, without refund.
c. Surf and Friends are not responsible for any consequences resulting from a guest’s inappropriate behavior.
6. Liability and Indemnity
a. The guest acknowledges and agrees that they use Surf and Friends’ facilities and services at their own risk.
b. Surf and Friends are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to any person or property during the guest’s stay.
c. The guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Surf and Friends and its owners, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from their stay.
7. Miscellaneous
a. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the guest and Surf and Friends and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
b. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed by the laws of France.
c. Any dispute arising from these terms and conditions or the guest’s stay at Surf and Friends shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.
By booking a surf trip with Surf and Friends, the guest acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
